Jubilee Year 2025 - Pilgrims of Hope

In the Catholic Church, a Jubilee or Holy Year is a special year of forgiveness and reconciliation, in which people are invited to come back into right relationship with God, with one another, and with all of creation.

The 2025 Jubilee Year begins on Christmas Eve 2024 and concludes on 6^th January 2026.  For schools, the Jubilee launch day is on Friday 24^th January 2025.

The theme for the Jubilee is Pilgrims of Hope.  Pope Francis has invited Catholics to renew our hope and discover a vision that can ‘restore access to the fruits of the earth to everyone’. We are also invited to rediscover a spirituality of God’s creation in which we understand ourselves as ‘pilgrims on the earth’ rather that masters of the world.

Our Lady of Victories joins together with our global community as Pilgrims of Hope, pledging to work together for God’s kingdom of justice, peace and love.

Launch Day

On Friday 24^th January, children completed activities in class to mark the official launch of the Jubilee Year in schools.
